Dick Charles is a native New Yorker and freelance musician. I consider myself a brass specialist since I perform on and teach the instruments of the brass family,
especially the trumpet and trombone. I have a Bachelors degree in music performance as well as a Masters degree in education and a Masters degree in education
administration. When I’m not pursuing my musical interests, I enjoy many hobbies including restoring classic automobiles, collecting toys and reading about military
aviation history. I am blessed to live on Long Island in New York which has a wealth of aviation history. I frequent the island’s aviation museums on a regular basis.
It was on one of these visits where I got the idea for my book U90420. This book has been a long labor of love for me. My teachers would always tell me that I was a
good writer, but I was always so involved in music that I never had the time to pursue it. Now that I am older and have more time on my hands, I turn to writing as a
venue to let my creativity flow. I share my uniquely-decorated home with my wonderful wife Patty and our two beagles Lady and Tramp.
